Is this the official DMV test?
No. DMV Bee isn't affiliated with any DMV or government agency. Its questions are written from your state's official driver handbook, and its exam simulator is built like your state's real test, so you know what to expect.
Which states and licenses does it cover?
All 50 states and DC, for car, motorcycle and commercial (CDL) permits. Rhode Island gives no motorcycle permit test, so motorcycle isn't offered there.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once it downloads your state's questions and lessons, you can study anywhere. It needs a connection only to download content and to subscribe. Problem reports and anonymous usage events made offline are sent once you're back online.
Subscription
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iPhone, open Settings › your name › Subscriptions › DMV Bee › Cancel Subscription. On Android, open Google Play › your profile picture › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › DMV Bee › Cancel subscription. In DMV Bee, Settings › Manage subscription takes you there. Deleting the app doesn't cancel it.
When am I charged?
The 3-day free trial costs nothing. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the first week is charged when the trial ends, then every week until you cancel. You keep full access until the end of the week you paid for.
How do I get my subscription on a new phone?
Sign in to the phone with the same Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with, then open DMV Bee's Settings › Restore purchases.
Can I get a refund?
Apple and Google take the payments, so they handle refunds. On iPhone, ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, follow support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637.
Can a parent pay for their teen?
On iPhone, yes: with Family Sharing, a parent subscribes once and their teen gets full access on their own iPhone. On Android, the teen subscribes on their own phone, because Google Play can't share subscriptions with the family.
Using the app
How do I change my state or license type?
Open Settings › State or License type. DMV Bee downloads the new questions and lessons first, so it needs a connection. Your progress for the old ones stays.
How do I switch to Spanish?
Open Settings › Language. You can also change it in the phone's settings: Settings › DMV Bee on iPhone, or App languages on Android 13 and later.
How do I move my progress to a new phone?
Your progress is saved on your phone, not in an account. It moves to a new phone with the phone's own backup (iCloud or Google), between two iPhones or two Android phones. It can't move between iPhone and Android.
How do I report a wrong question?
Tap the flag on the question or lesson page, pick what's wrong and send it. We check every report and fix the question if needed. Reports carry no personal data.
How do I delete my data?
Everything is on your phone. Settings › Reset progress clears one state and license type, and deleting the app deletes all of it. If you emailed us, write to info@woze.app and we'll delete your emails.
